Happy First Day of Fall!

Oh my goodness, it's my favorite time of the year! The weather is getting cooler, the leaves have begun to change colors, and the smell of woodstoves and fireplaces being used is in the air!

I just went grocery shopping and picked up some ingredients for my favorite fall/cool weather meals, including lentil soup! I can hardly wait to make the first pot of the season.

Another thing I'm looking forward to is staying snuggled up under blankets on the couch with a good book. I haven't read a book since last month, although I am supposed to be reading The Dragon Deals the Cards this month for the book club my sisters and I started. I hope to start that today, now that the kids are feeling more confident in their virtual school days and are in need of my assistance less and less.

Although this year has been mostly chaotic (to put it mildly) so far, I'm still looking forward to the fall season, even if it's a bit more cautiously than usual. The potential for awesomeness is there and I'm going to my best to remember that.

I'd love to know what you might love (or not love so much) about the fall season. Let me know in the comments!

Have a terrific Tuesday!
