Happy Monday, friends. The first month of every new year has me feeling some type of way about all of the *stuff* in my house. This year the feeling is more intense, as I have come to realize just how much accumulates in a house over the years.
Recently, my in-laws sold their home. They lived there for over 40 years and when it came time to figure out what was going, what was being held on to, and what was being passed down ....it was a very chaotic time. It was definitely eye-opening to me and made me realize that whenever we might have the opportunity to sell our home, I don't want to have a bunch of stuff in boxes that I haven't seen (or even thought of) in decades.
Thankfully, I am part of a local Buy Nothing Group. I love the group because it gives me a chance to get rid of items that are useful, just no longer useful to me. I've also been gifted some pretty wonderful things!
My local group is currently doing a declutter challenge for the month of January. I haven't posted every day, but I have been listing as much stuff as I can on the days I have posted. Every little bit that I am able to get out of the house feels like a weight off of my shoulders. It's a great feeling.
